Avoid orcas in Portugal and Spain

There are boaters who give “good advice” such as pouring gasoline or sand into the water or firing cannon shots to scare the orcas when they approach or attack.

But now there is also a legal “pinger”, which you can tow behind the boat. The pinger emits a sound signal that orcas reportedly do not like.

According to the manufacturer, it will reduce the risk of damage from an attack from 11% to 1.8%
